The Board’s role and duties are increasingly sophisticated with the fast changing regulatory requirements coupled with today’s economic uncertainties, the need to prepare an impactful stakeholders’ engagement plan is getting more and more challenging. Driving not only sustainability issues but also talent retention strategies, the Board must continue to challenge Management on the way forward. Board members now need to be pro-active as they are regarded as the key contributors to the success and continuity of the organization by identifying and managing opportunities and addressing threats, both timely and effectively in order to ensure its business sustainability in the long-term.
